Site Engineer - London - Competitive Remuneration Package

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our Engineering Projects team (initially based in London).   Reporting to the Site Agent you will provide accurate surveying, setting out, measurement and control of contract works with a view to progressing to the supervision of resource and sub-contractors on smaller schemes.

The key tasks of this role include:

• Fulfilling the Health and Safety responsibilities as defined within the Company Health and Safety Policy and ensuring that all site activities are carried out in a safe manner.
• Ensuring that all site activities comply with the Company and Site standards for Quality and Environmental Management.
• Ensuring the accuracy and correct interpretation of contract drawings, specifications and other information used in support of the delivery of site engineering.
• Responsibility for the management of all dimensional control on site.
• Ensuring that site engineering is carried out in a professional, systematic and accurate manner.
• Supervision of works including labour, plant and subcontractors.
• Keeping accurate records, including a diary, of all site activities.
• Reporting observations and issues to line managers in a timely and professional manner.
• Assisting the line managers with the resolution of engineering issues and queries.
• Taking off and ordering of materials.
• Monitoring and Control of wastage.
• Assisting in the production of Risk Assessments, Method Statements and other documentation.
• Other tasks as may from time to time be deemed necessary and are authorised by line managers.

You will be an effective team member who meets the following criteria:

• Relevant Qualification (Degree/HNC/ONC) or compensating experience.
• Ambition and commitment to success in the role.
• Demonstrable self motivation and high personal professional standards.
• Confident communication skills.
• Excellent employer references.
• IT Literate, particularly MS Word and MS Excel.
• Disciplined and logical approach to planning and scheduling works.
• Willing to travel and work away from home.
