29/08/2008 - Amco Supports Children of Chernobyl
A huge thank you goes out to all Amco Employees who made donations and took part in the Dress Down Day on Friday 27th June 2008. The fantastic support received, which raised £265, was invaluable to the success of a recent visit to Barnsley by a group Belarusian children whose lives are significantly affected by the legacy of the Chernobyl Nuclear disaster which occurred 22 years ago.
The money raised by Amco employees was used to buy a large amount of vitamins for the children to take home, it paid for the fuel to take the children back to the airport and the change has been put into the Bank for next years trip! As part of the wider support for the visit the company also purchased each child a back pack to use during their stay and a luggage bag to take home all their newly acquired clothes and shoes.
