01/05/2008 - Amco wins CECA Award

Congratulations to Ian Dods (pictured here receiving the award from CECA (Y&H) Chairman Philip Bentley) and his Rail East team on winning the CECA Yorkshire & Humberside Linda Grant Health and Safety Award 2007.

The award was made in recognition of the work undertaken by the LNE Minor Works Team in response to an emergency call out to attend a collapsed parapet on a bridge spanning the River Went in Doncaster.

This award reflects the team’s response, unparalleled operational performance and the close working relationships developed with the client and local landowners to ensure the safe return of the rail infrastructure to Network Rail ahead of schedule.

Well done to everyone involved including Steve Rowbotham, Nick Raw, Glen Heaton, Richard Daykin and the rest of the team.
