21/01/2007 - Limestone Recycling Contract Delivered

Amco have successfully completed the contract for the recycling system for the new FGD plant at Eggborough Power Station. The system, which recycles limestone slurry by pumping around the abosorbers, included for two new pumps and all the associated mechanical and electrical works.

The delivery programme was successfully planned around a plant outage to ensure zero impact on the station generation commitments. This success was achieved by saving valuable time against the critical path installation activities, to increase the available commissioning time.
