Training
We view people as our investment. To maximise the return on this investment we have a policy of training and continuous development.
This is achieved by developing an understanding of each person's strengths and key skills. From this understanding we ascertain each individual's needs and introduce specific training and development programmes.

AMCO defines training as the process of bringing a jobholder to a desired standard of job performance by instruction and practice. The jobholder in this definition can be absolutely anyone who works for the company, regardless of his or her status or function.

We use the following simple four-step process.
  • Identify the training needs
  • Design and prepare the training
  • Carry out the training
  • Evaluate the results
In September 2000 this training policy was evaluated as part of AMCO Engineering's accreditation to Investor in People (IIP) status.
